All across Pennsylvania, nurses are determined to advocate for our patients and profession in the upcoming election. We all want to safely provide high-quality care that meets our patients’ needs. However, healthcare CEOs and the politicians they have paid for are making care decisions for patients while keeping our facilities understaffed.

That is why we must come together in this election to demand safe staffing, the freedom for patients to get the care they need, and a voice in all decisions affecting us and our patients.

We will score every candidate for Pennsylvania House, Senate, and Governor according to our Nurse Priorities, and release a Nurse Priorities Election Scorecard for every nurse to know where the candidates asking for their vote stand on our priorities.

On August 19th, we emailed candidates to invite them to complete the 2022 Nurse Priorities Questionnaire by the end of the day Wednesday, September 7th, and we are continuing to reach out by every means possible to make certain they have every opportunity to let nurses know where they stand. The 2022 Nurse Priorities Election Scorecard will score candidates based upon their answers—or lack thereof—to the questionnaire, along with their record in office if they are currently serving in the legislature.

Our 2022 Nurse Priorities Election Scorecard will be released on Thursday, September 8th, at 7:30 PM. You can click here to join us then for the launch of our Scorecard and our campaign to share the scorecard with every nurse in Pennsylvania.

If you would like to see which candidates have or have not yet completed the questionnaire, you can click here to learn more about the questionnaire, and see if the candidates asking for your vote have responded yet.

There are 262,000 nurses registered to vote in Pennsylvania.

Please join us for the Scorecard Launch on September 8th to talk about how you can help let every nurse in know where the candidates stand on the issues most important to us this fall.
